Little fishies....
Last week the weather finally warmed up enough for the kids to get into the swimming pool:

GrandDad's Birthday party :)
Last Saturday we celebrated my Dad's 65th birthday! I'm not sure which age group had more fun, or who was sillier!

For his birthday, GrandDad received a battery operated bubble blower like the one that we have at home. All the children had a great time with the bubbles, although the birthday boy had a few issues sharing :) .

Catching Up!!!!!
Wow!! So its been well over a week since I posted anything, and now it is going to take me awhile to get back up to date so you will all have to be patient. I have lots of pictures to post but I may not get to it all tonight, as I have to get some sleep. The kids have been keeping me up at night (surprise, surprise), but I have to get some rest tonight because tomorrow I am going out with my mentor, and oldest friend.
A week ago Friday we went for lunch at the Manor House in Little Tew,and the girls got to play in the garden. It brought back very fond memories for me of playing in that very garden myself, just the smells of the house and the garden took me back 25 years!!! The owner of the house just turned 91 at the end of June, but you would never know it, she is exactly as I remember her and I haven't seen her since 1992!!!! Here are some pictures of the girls playing in the garden.
As children, Nancy used to send us out to the green house to see how many passion flowers had bloomed. Much to my delight, there was one in bloom while we were there,so of course I had to get a picture of it.
This rocking horse used to live in the study, but has since moved. I used to spend hours riding him and pretending that he was real. I was very pleased to see him.
We had a very nice lunch and it was so nice to my children playing somewhere that holds so many special memories for me. I have video of the girls rolling down the grass hill at the Manor House as well, but I am having technical issues so will post it at another time.

Visit to the Duck and Children's Farm in Wigginton
Last Thursday we went to a Duck and Children's Farm in a very nearby village by the name of Wigginton. The girls had a wonderful time.
Here is Morgan holding a baby bunny. They had a room full of baby animals, there were chicks, and ducklings, gerbils, a chinchilla, and these baby bunnies. They had small chairs that children could sit on, with a mat on their laps, and with their parents help they could hold a bunny.
Paige even got to hold a baby bunny with Mummy's help.
There were paths to follow around the duck ponds, and you could even feed them.
Look at the duck to the far left, it looks as if it is wearing a hat,
As we were looking at the ducks, we came across this gate, where there were sheep grazing in the field. As soon as we came up to the gate this sheep came running, and stood up on the gate. We were all quite amused.

Bell Ringing
Last night I went with Dad and Sarah to bell ringing in Steeple Aston. Here is some video of Sarah ringing, and the beautiful sound of the bells. Not something that we see in North America.

Visit to the Alpaca ranch
On Saturday, we went down to Little Tew to visit a lady who raises Alpacas. The girls had a wonderful time.
In this picture, you can see some babies, one of them was only a day old!!!!
The alpacas were quite frightened of the girls, so they weren't able to pet any, but we did get to see a fleece from an alpaca that had been shorn the day before, and Morgan was able to feel it as well.

Of snail hunting and school fetes....
Today was the fete down at the village school which I actually attended for a year, 20 years ago!!!! Morgan refers to it as Mummy's school. There was a bouncy castle which Morgan had a great time in. The girls played on the playground equipment, and Morgan got her face painted. We also came home with an armful of new stories, and a new toy from the toy tent.
Morgan's face painting is actually an angel, if you click on the picture to enlarge it, you will be able to see it a bit better.
Auntie Sarah couldn't resist wearing the antenna headbands home.....
Paige thought that we were all quite silly!
After dinner, the girls took Nana outside to hunt for snails, and they were very successful.
The girls had a great time watching the snails in the containers, and holding them as well. Afterwards we let them go again in the garden, and will look for them again tomorrow.
