One year ago today we said goodbye to an important member of this family. The girls mention Fury almost daily in conversation; Paige especially. Not a day goes by when I don't think of him. I found this picture the other day and just wanted to mark his one year anniversary.

A pet is always remembered affectionately, I think. The thing I remember about Fury is the mischief in his eye, and also the way he used to lean up against me, hoping for a good cuddle. I also remember the occasion when you were going out for dinner, and you told us how nervous he was about stairs. Then about two minutes after you had left, he came calmly paddling upstairs to spend the evening with us in the family room. Cute!
That day at the farm, when we took a walk down the lane, and you let him off his lead for the first time outside, it was wonderful watching him when we came to that field. He looked up at you as if he were just going to show you what he could do for speed. He went round that field like a blue streak. Then he came back and sat beside you, but suddenly decided he wanted to do it again. After that he was content to trot along with you. He'd shown you what he could do in his former life, but he was now going to spend his time being your companion.
