Craniofacial Team

Ella had her first appointment with the cranifacial team today. This included seeing the Audiologist, Speech Pathologist, and Developmental Pediatrician. This was our first time seeing this team all together, and our first time seeing the Developmental Pediatrician at all. She was an extremely nice lady, and all three appointments went well. There are no concerns at all with Ella's development, infact she is above in some areas. One thing that did come up with the pediatrician was her diagnosis. Ella's file still says everything from Moebious to Goldenhar, and Hemifacial Microsomnia. The consensus across the board seems to be that she only has Hemifacial Microsomnia - which is a good thing. Hopefully when the team sends the report out it will state that somewhere in there. Our other pediatrician keeps saying Goldenhar Syndrome - which is much more severe, and which she clearly does not have. Its is quite frustating, and if her files all had the same diagnosis, it would make life much easier! Given Ella's progress we most likely won't have to go back for two years, we'll find out when we get mailed the report! Paige came with us to the appointments and was a star!!!! It was a two-hour appointment, and she was excellent the whole entire time!

Brownie Camp

Phew! I think that I am now caught up in the picture department. I won't let it go so long next time. It is soccer season in our house, and it takes up three evenings a week. The girls are really enjoying it, and it is great fun to watch!

Morgan went to Brownie camp this past weekend. This was her first year camping for two nights. She had a great time, but came home completely exhausted!

Miss Morgan is number 4 which is kind of funny: the girls numbers are each others ages! Morgan is number four and Paige is number 7!

In April, Morgan recieved an award at school for Honesty and Integrity! She also recieved another reward this month for Empathy; but I didn't get a picture from that day as I forgot my camera. :(
There was an assembly when the awards were presented, and the parents of children recieving an award were invited. I was very proud!

In keeping with a tradition that is ages old, Easter Egg colouring was done with Daddy. The colours were fabulous this year.
